Summer Dance Camp Teacher

Position Summary:

Lead structured dance camp activities, teach proper dance technique, ensure safety of dancers and oversee Lunch Bunch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver a fun, creative and energetic dance class to students
• Ability to explain choreography and terminology to their audience in a way that is understood
• Run organized games, story time and assist children with daily crafts
• Clean up after snack
• Walk children to the bathroom
• Monitor the lunch hour
• Complete Child Abuse Prevention training annually; Required to report any suspected cases of child abuse immediately to supervisor.

• Must have previous experience teaching dance to youth/adults
• Must be able to structure and design a class suitable for their audience
• Must be enthusiastic and engaging
• Must have the ability to interact well with children
